I’ve spent over two decades building & operating online platforms, from early-stage startups to Facebook. I’m a T-shaped engineer with expertise in cloud infrastructure, broad software engineering knowledge, and product and business acumen.
I move between big picture and implementation detail, spot architectural risks before they become incidents, and balance long-term goals against pragmatic trade-offs.
What I do
- Infrastructure and platforms. Kubernetes, GCP and AWS, GitOps, Terraform, reliability and architecture reviews.
- Scaling when traction hits. For founders whose MVP is starting to strain under real load (a good, if stressful, problem to have).
- Agentic AI for engineering teams. Agentic workflows, custom skills, rethinking your role as an engineer.
- Technical due diligence. For VCs: architecture, reliability, security posture, the team, and whether the AI story is real.
What I’m looking for
I’m selectively open to:
- Consulting and contracts, either ongoing or with a clear scope.
- Fractional CTO/head of infrastructure for startups.
- The right Staff or Principal role at early startups or select established companies.
I’m based in London and prioritise engagements with at least some flexibility around remote work and office hours.
